Please read this refund policy carefully before making a payment. By enrolling in our courses, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions, contact us before proceeding with payment.

1. Overview

At SMP Institute of Film & Media, we strive to provide quality education and want our students to be satisfied with their learning experience. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted for course enrollments.

2. Refund Eligibility

100%Full Refund

A full refund is available if:

  • You cancel your enrollment at least 7 days before the batch start date.
  • The Institute cancels the batch due to insufficient enrollment.
  • The Institute is unable to conduct the course due to unforeseen circumstances.

75%Partial Refund

A 75% refund is available if:

  • You cancel within 3-6 days before the batch start date.
  • You cancel within the first 2 days of the course (before attending more than 2 sessions).

50%Partial Refund

A 50% refund is available if:

  • You cancel 1-2 days before the batch start date.
  • You withdraw within the first week of the course (up to 25% course completion).

0%No Refund

No refund will be provided if:

  • More than 25% of the course has been completed.
  • You cancel on the day of batch start or after.
  • You are dismissed due to violation of the code of conduct.
  • You fail to attend classes without prior notice.

3. Refund Process

3.1 How to Request a Refund

  1. 1Send an email to info@smpinstitute.in with subject "Refund Request".
  2. 2Include your full name, enrolled course, batch details, and reason for refund.
  3. 3Attach payment receipt or transaction ID.
  4. 4Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days.

3.2 Processing Time

  • Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days.
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method.
  • Bank processing may take an additional 5-7 business days.

4. Special Circumstances

4.1 Medical Emergencies

In case of medical emergencies preventing course completion, we offer:

  • Transfer to a future batch (within 6 months) at no additional cost.
  • Pro-rata refund based on sessions attended (with valid medical documentation).

4.2 Course Changes

  • Students may switch to a different course before 25% completion.
  • Fee difference (if any) will be adjusted accordingly.
  • Only one course change is permitted per enrollment.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable:

  • Registration/application fees (if any).
  • Study materials already issued.
  • Promotional discounts and offers cannot be refunded separately.
  • Bank transaction charges.

6. EMI/Loan Payments

For payments made through EMI or education loans:

  • Refund requests must be coordinated with the financing institution.
  • Any processing fees or interest charged by the lender are non-refundable by the Institute.
  • Students remain responsible for loan obligations until officially cancelled.

7. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision:

  1. 1Submit a written appeal within 7 days of receiving the decision.
  2. 2Include any additional documentation supporting your case.
  3. 3The appeal will be reviewed by the management within 10 business days.
  4. 4The management's decision on the appeal will be final.

8. Policy Modifications

SMP Institute of Film & Media reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. The policy in effect at the time of your enrollment will apply to your refund request.
